The iControl full room heater is not your average space heater. The new Vornado iControl Digital Vortex Heat features a unique one-knob interface that puts all of the heater’s functions at your fingertips. A turn of the knob scrolls through the settings – Timer, Fan Speed, and Set Temp. Once you have made your selection, a simple push of the knob and the unit accepts your setting. A digital LCD screen clearly displays your options and the setting you selected. Vornado’s advanced automatic climate control eliminates annoying hot and cold cycles, maintaining the set temperature using less energy. The iControl incorporates Vornado’s signature energy efficient Vortex Technology to fully circulate the warm air throughout the whole room, creating an even temperature. Unique one-knob interface puts all of the heater’s functions at your fingertips. Includes a remote control and multi-level safety protection with automatic tip-over protection, non-glowing heat element, cool touch cabinet, and tight grill spirals. Model is made for 120 Volts only

I bought this heater based on some reviews - the features mentioned in other reviews I actually mostly agree with. It is quiet, it has a nice display and the unit is small. But - as far as effectiveness as a heater it stinks. Unless you're heating a very small room it's inadequate. I have some other small space heaters and they are more noisy but they run less and heat more. I'd trade the quiet for better throughput. When the vornado runs for a long time (hours) The output seems to be noticeably less warm than when it first runs. The unit also has a safety feature which automatically turns it off in case it's tipped. This is a great safety feature that should be in all space heaters but on the vornado the switch is so sensitive that it sometimes turned off even if it's just lightly bumped even though it's still sitting completely upright. Even on hardwood floors I have to go press the unit down to get it to start heating again. I would not buy another and am even more upset at its poor heating given its high price.

I would hold off on buying this heater. It's very important to know (which it is not clearly stated on the product details) that this heater never shuts off. The fan runs continuously regardless of what temperature you set the thermostat on. It creates a very dry and chilly room when you hit the desired temperature. Too expensive for what you get.

I purchased the heater for our bathroom. I have been through quite a few bathroom heaters. It's the only room that I want a little toasty. This so far is the best, it's quiet, so quiet I didn't think it would work, but quickly effective.
