1Electric Bill not so good
By Kelly
We bought one of these heaters 2 years ago to help keep the oil cost down. They do work great. We run ours 24 hours a day, to keep the rooms at a nice temp. We used this to keep our kitchen and living room warm. We also ran a coal stove in another part of the house, where we added on and didn't have any heat. After running the first one for a year, our electric bill jumped $150 a month. We were ok with this since we weren't using oil. This past fall, we purchased a second one, because we really do like the heaters and they keep it so warm in here. We decided to get rid of the coal stove, and put a heater in that part of the house. We now have 2 heaters running 24 hours a day. We didn't think it would be that much more on the electric bill, UNTIL TODAY. For the past 3 months our electric company has been estimating our bill from last winter, when we only had one heater. We have come to find out, these are costing us almost $350 more a month on top of our regular electric bill. This equates to about $6.00 each, a day to run. We run 2 of them, 24 hours a day @ $12.00 a day. I'm not sure where the manufacturer figured on $1.00 a day to run this heater, but it's a lot more than they say. (this wasn't even a cold winter) The heaters aren't that cheap to run. Don't get me wrong, they are great heaters, but they don't come close the cost of $1.00 a day, so beware before purchasing.

3Good heater, overpriced.
By David Bauman
Well built. Puts out a lot of heat. Uses a lot of electricity. (Added $150 to our bill during the month of use.) I'm not convinced that it's significantly better than a bog-standard space heater.
