This heater does the job but if you're a light sleeper the cycling of the heater, the switching on and off of the thermostat, makes a loud CLICK, otherwise it does the job.

I have a small 800 Square foot farmhouse with propane as the primary heat source. It has a basement but it's more like a large crawl space with a furnace and hot water heater, I do not heat that area and do not include that area in the square footage because this review is for the area I do heat with these radiant heaters.I have two of these heaters and they are VERY good supplemental heat for my house. These heaters really put the heat out and the thermostats are incredibly accurate and match the thermostat in my house exactly. Even after the heaters are HOT the thermostats stay accurate.I get the house as warm as I want it to be with the furnace and then set the heaters a couple degrees higher and my furnace doesn't run all day unless it is 15 degrees or below outside and then the furnace will turn on once in a while. I have had these heaters for about a week through the coldest part of the year ( two days ago it was 14 below zero and that's not the windchill either!!) and my propane gauge on the tank hasn't moved!! Propane is expensive.They do take a little time to get up to temp, like let's say 15-20 minutes but once they are going, they do a great job! The heat comes out the top of these heaters so well that it will blow a paper towel right off the top of it and that's good for something that doesn't have a fan and relies solely on convection to circulate the hot air. Another thing I like about these heaters is that even if you unplug them they remember how everything was set.Very happy with these!!

This heater with it's wider channels puts out good heat out the top of the unit. The sides do get warm to hot but the real advantage is the convection. I am pleased with the operation so far. The controls can be difficult to read since they are digital otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.
