I picked this one out after researching all the similar heaters on amazon. This one seemed to have all the same features as the expensive models and actually some better features than the expensive models. I hadn't heard of this brand and it didn't have any reviews but I decided to take a chance. I have to say, I am very happy with this purchase! It works great and looks beautiful. I was recently gone for the weekend and left the house with no heat on and it was in the 30's. When I got home it was freezing! I turned the heater on and within an hour the whole downstairs was warm! I'm not sure how many square feet my downstairs is but it is a living room that opens up to a large kitchen and an open staircase. The ceilings are about 9 ft and its an old house with old drafty windows. The heater is very quiet and the only part that you see lit up is the blue digital screen with the temperature reading. The high and low settings both work great. This is our only source of heat right now and at night if we leave the bedroom doors open upstairs it keeps the bedrooms comfy even though the heater sits at the bottom of the stairs in the living room! We live in a small two bedroom townhouse,srry I can't tell you the square footage, I have no clue! But if you are shopping for an infared heater here are some important things to look at when comparing...The BTU's, the number of quartz elements this one has 6 and if they are wrapped in copper, this one is. The copper ones seem to be the best. This model had all the best features for the lowest price. I haven't seen my first electric bill yet so I'm not sure if its expensive to run, but anything is cheaper than oil and these infared heaters are suppost to be inexpensive to run. Good luck with your purchase, I recommend this one!

I'm no longer worried about her. The heater warms up the room in couple of minutes, so we just need to turn it on before she have a shower. It has three mode - 1000 watts, 1500 watts and energy-saving function. We could choose different mode according to the weather. I'm so happy that we got this!Would I recommend this to a friend or family member? I received my model directly from the manufacturer as a review sample. I put it through its paces and was impressed by how quickly this heated my room. My house is an open design, with the main area of slightly over 1400 square feet. That is well over the one thousand square feet for which this heater is designed. Once powered on and a temperature set it quickly heats, and if you are within ten feet of the unit you will immediately feel the effects.Since there are ample specifications on this page - all of which I have verified in my own testing - I am not going to recite them here. Instead I am going to focus on my own experience and what I do and do not like about the heater.To me the nicest features are the digital controls that can be accessed from the front panel or by using the included remote control, and how quickly this heater will take a cold room to warmth and comfort. This is important for me because during the winter months I rarely use my central heating because I am on a fixed income and my 2400 square foot home is expensive to heat. Even though I live in Florida we have more than a few days of below freezing weather, and most of the time the winter temperature is in the 30s and 40s. This unit allows me to inexpensively heat the rooms in which I spend most of my time instead of the whole house.The controls are simple and intuitive. I interact with the heater using the front panel, which has an easy-to-read, blue screen and convenient buttons. I use the remote to fine adjust temperature in the morning. I can set this for 1500 and 1000 Watt modes, depending on how quickly I want to heat my space. There is a power-saving mode as well that I love because it will step down from the 1500 Watt mode to 1000 Watts at a certain temperature and save about a third of the energy costs. Another feature is the timed turn on, which allows me to have a warm house waiting when I am out all day. Since it will kick on at a defined time I am not wasting electricity keeping it warm when I am not home. That feature has the potential to pay for itself.In addition to the controls, there are two safety features built into this heater: a shutdown feature if it's tipped over, and a sensor that will shut down the heater if it overheats beyond a certain point.Finally, the filter is permanent. You still need to periodically clean it, but it's easy to get to and clean and should last a long time with proper maintenance.Be aware that this is not completely quiet because it employs a fan to distribute the heat. I tested it with a sound meter and it measured 63dB sound pressure level (SPL) at three feet from the unit. A typical home's ambient noise level is around 50dB SPL, so while this is not whisper quiet, it's not overly noisy either.Physically this heater is about 13 inches wide by 20 inches deep and about 18 inches high. It weights forty-one pounds, but is easy to move because it has heavy-duty casters. The frame is genuine wood and veneer, and is beautiful.I have not owned this long enough to determine how it will affect my electric bill, but will update this review if there are some unexpected savings or disappointments.
