Our Infrared heater will look great in any room and provide a cost effective and safe source of radiant heat. The infrared heater has six quartz elements that are wrapped to provide a continuous heat exchange. This Infrared heater will keep any room evenly heated and is rated for a 50,000 hour lifespan to provide years of trouble free use and it has a two tone black injection molded plastic cool touch cabinet that is safe for pets and children. The heater will provide even heat to your space without having to heat your whole house just heat the room you are using or set your thermostat lower for the house and heat your room.

Bought this heater at Costco and have run it for 8-12 hours per day for a month. I have an extremely large family room (500 sf). This used to be a cold room because it is the lowest floor in the house. I previously used a lasko ceramic heater that wold only keep one spot warm. This heater keeps the whole room very comfortable. I has a thermostat that shuts the unit off when the desired temperature is reached. The only negative (but I doubt it can be avoided), is that when the temperature is reached, the quartz elements will shut down but the powerful fan continues to blow. If the unit is pointed toward you, it will blow increasingly cooler air on you as the elements cool down until the fan shuts off.

I bought this unit from somewhere else but this was the exact model I got. So far, this heater has been great. It puts out heat almost immediately after being switched on. It heats as advertised and the best thing about it is how quiet it is. I bought a Lasko portable quartz infrared heater before this one and while it heats the same, the noise level of the machine is night and day compared to the American Comfort. The fan is a quiet whisper even set on high. Only owned it a day so far but I'm a happy customer so far.

This is a good heater for the price and I actually bought a second one. I first tried this in the bedroom, but it was too loud and would wake me and my wife up every time it clicked on. I then bought the iLIVING Infrared Portable Space Heater for the bedroom. This unit is much quieter, but feels a bit more generic.Even after buying the quieter one, I bought the second American Comfort unit. The controls work better and no issues with the remote. The iLIVING unit seems to have some quality issues with the remote and doesn't seem as reliable. Basically, if you are buying this for a room that can put up with a bit of noise, you will like this for the value.
